The Master in People Management and Organizational Dynamics Weekend is aimed at professionals from related careers or other areas, with a certain level of work experience who seek to increase their knowledge in human resources management, which is a key element in any organization.

  • Statistical Methods: The contents that will be presented in the course are based on concepts and methods linked to the decision process, providing basic tools for the analysis, conjectures oriented mainly to the areas of administration. The course program includes a week of probability and statistical classes and three weeks of various topics related to optimization.
  • Human Resources: The objective of the course is to develop the skills to evaluate the human resources management function as a tool to design and implement the organization’s strategy, through its experience with organizations, model analysis Conceptual, empirical evidence and the latest research in the area.
  • Management Perspective: The fundamental purpose of this course is the delivery of concepts and tools for the development of skills that allow the task of the management function to be addressed in a solid and efficient way. A global and strategic perspective will be the priority of this course.
  • Experiential Workshop: This workshop provides the opportunity to experience, explore and understand the exercise of authority, leadership and collaboration in a changing organizational reality. Based on experiential learning methods, this activity helps to understand more deeply the behavior of groups and organizations by developing competencies to function effectively in work environments.
  • Diagnosis in organizational climate: Erroneously many confuse the concept of organizational climate with that of interpersonal environment at work, which is a facet of the organizational climate. The course includes the methodologies for the diagnosis of Organizational Climate and the strategies to intervene in the organizational climate based on the identified causes are analyzed.
  • Participation, Empowerment and Decisions: Recent research shows that people use a small number of heuristics, or “rules to the eye,” to make decisions. The overall objective of the course is to learn about these pitfalls, to understand the decision-making process and to approach decision-making in a systematic way.
  • Institutional Interventions: The objective of the course is to provide information about institutional intervention models and analytical tools to perform both a diagnosis of the institution’s situation and the creation of an intervention device. It helps to evaluate the role of the internal and external consultant, the relationship between the institutional structure and the structure of the society and the analysis between work, institution and mental health.
  • Coaching and groupality: This course will equip students to implement coaching in diverse settings and event that demand the company. This programme will assist students to develop new skills to meet increasingly complex life and management challenges and to practice some tools that encourage collaborative work with individuals and teams.
  • Labor relations and business strategy: Give an overview of the Chilean labor institutions on Labour Relations, analyzing in particular the most relevant topics of the moment.
  • Action Research I: Understanding the role of the state and public administration in areas such as the functions of the state and its evolution, and the specificity of public organizations; central government and the strategic planning of organizations; monitoring instruments and performance evaluation to improve organizational management, decision support, contribute to the quality of public spending, people management and decentralization.
  • Strategies for organizational change: The course aims to develop a comprehensive understanding of change in organizations as well as the various strategies that allow this to take place effectively, considering the organizational levels. In addition, it emphasizes in the important role that has the HR management of the company in the process of organizational change.
  • Strategic Management Performance and Behavior: The course is designed to provide students with knowledge around the methodologies that are used to job evaluation and performance management to develop an insight about the important of create a structures aligned with the strategy of the organization.
  • Action Research II: The purpose of the course is to give students opportunities to develop advanced knowledge in action research methodology in organizations. Action research is used as a powerful methodology to promote professional awareness and development around the changes in organizations, taking in to account, political aspects, values, theoretical, and epistemological methods, this together with the study of quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Organizational Design: The course provides an updated perspective of the major developments of the management thinking, the main organizational design parameters that shape organizational structures, and strategic decisions in organizational design for that is necessary to know organizations, their value compose factors, behavior, performance and conditions.

The total duration of the program is estimated and may vary depending on holidays, calendars, decree changes, and the extent of the thesis or equivalent training activity.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional title, granted in Chile or abroad.
  • Work experience with a minimum of 2 years. Activities of equivalent relevance will also be considered.


  • Study of the applicant’s background by the Academic Council.
  • Proof of general knowledge and logic.
  • Personal interview.
  • Decision phase that may include admission, conditional admission or non-acceptance of the program.

  • Certificate of title or original university degree and legalized photocopy. Foreign applicants must legalize original title at the Chilean Consulate in their country of residence and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Santiago, once residing in Chile.
  • Original Notes Certificate. Foreign applicants must also submit a legalized copy.
  • Ranking of the University of Origin.
  • Those who request the homologation of courses, must present the detail of the undergraduate study program of the courses presented for homologation (academic pensum). Each case will be evaluated by the Academic Committee of the program.
  • Photocopy card, or passport in the case of foreign applicants, on both sides.
  • Curriculum vitae.
  • Two letters of recommendation. They are made through an electronic format, so contact details of two work or academic references (name, position or activity, company, address, telephone, e-mail) are requested, who provide the information via the web.
  • Foreign applicants must submit compulsory health insurance.
  • Application fee: $ 50,000 or $ 100, non-refundable amount. The checks or vale vista must be extended to the name of Universidad de Chile.
